Position Description:

The Chief Diversity Officer is responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans and initiatives related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion that enhance the competitive position and company culture for Rocket Companies. They utilize relevant data and market trends to create a DEI strategy focused on the strategic pillars of talent, culture, marketplace and communities they serve. They serve as a thought leader and collaborator with business partners and executives across the organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the executive team to drive the organization’s culture, values and mission
  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of the organization on DEI and other relevant cultural and business issues
  • Ensure that the DEI team have the required knowledge, skills and experience for their job responsibilities, including the experience and knowledge required to engage with business unit personnel on DEI strategic plans and initiatives
  • Create, establish and implement DEI strategic plans and initiatives
  • Monitor the implementation of organizational policies/procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness
  • Communicate pertinent information to stakeholders, leaders and team members
  • Work with the senior leadership team to develop and implement organization-wide DEI goals and performance measurements
  • Responsible for facilitating the development of organization-wide and specific business areas DEI goals, including actively guiding the business areas when they are developing strategies, goals, objectives and new programs or initiatives to promote DEI
  • Provide reporting on the DEI strategic plans and initiatives to the board periodically or as requested by the board
  • Assess the impact of DEI initiatives, alignment to vision/values, barriers and synergies
  • Provide ongoing support to the organization’s leadership team on DEI
  • Provide guidance, oversight and management to maximize contributions to the company’s short- and long-term business strategies
  • Provide DEI coaching and development to executive and senior leaders within the organization
  • Support the development of integrated talent strategies that contribute to the development of diverse talent pipelines
  • Oversee expenditure and investments in infrastructure, technology or other assets and resources
  • Effectively lead, coach and mentor multiple executive leaders
