Position Summary:

The Proposal Manager position is responsible for creating proposals, technical documents and manuals that explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.  In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams to obtain a deep understanding of services to translate complex information to simple polished and engaging content. As the Proposal Manager, you will write various text in an explanatory and procedural style for multiple audiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the Request for Proposal (RFP) response process and manage company documents
  • Manage the proposal process from pre-RFP activities through final production and close out processes, including identifying potential RFP barriers and/or their risks for completion while identifying and implementing effective and efficient mitigation strategies
  • Ability to convert an RFP to an oral presentation and interview
  • Ability to use creative skills and usage of photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts in PowerPoint that will increase users’ understanding
  • Collaborate with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the services and the documentation requirements to support proposal development
  • Escalate to management when deliverables are at risk based on key process steps and proactively proposes remediation actions
  • Research, write and organize information/content in a professional and credible manner to meet the needs of the target audience
  • Review industry information related products, services, best practices and technologies to incorporate into proposals and documents as needed
  • Create strategies that influence others to take appropriate action
  • Prioritize responsibilities to meet RFP and document creation deadlines
  • Drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement into the proposal response process
  • Work with the design team to create graphics and visuals for projects
  • Analyze and manage existing and potential content
  • Creates, adapts, and follow project schedules and deadlines
